I found this challenge over on Pandora’s Books. It sounded like a lot of fun, and I know this challenge is really old, but I wanted to participate in it. It looks to have been created by Good Books and Good Wine.
Today’s prompt is: How do you choose what book to read next?
Okay, so I have a system lol.
First and foremost, I read my books that I have received first. Those always take priority over backlist and TBR books. I read the review books in the order that I need to have them read and reviewed by.
Once I am caught up on my ARC books, I will choose a book from my TBR. If I’ve been doing a lot of reading on my Kindle (since most of my ARCs are e-books), I will choose a physical book to read to take some of the stress off of my eyes. Lately it has taken me a little while to decide what I want to read. I have become somewhat of a mood reader lately. I will look at all of the books on my shelves that have yet to be read and just go with whatever is calling out to me at the moment. If I’m in a reading slump, I will choose a book by one of my favorite authors. That has been guaranteed to get me out of my slump every time.
If I’m going with an e-book, I’ll look through the books on my Kindle and, just like I do with my physical books, I will scroll through until something calls to me.
