15 Day Book Blogger Challenge – 15

Today’s prompt is: Who are your book blogging mentors?

I really only have one. Grey over at Revised Origins.

Grey has shown me lately that it is okay to be me and to post about what I like, even if it isn’t popular or “hyped” or even “relevant” right now. It’s what I like and that is all that matters because this is my blog.

I can’t count the number of books that I’ve bought or checked out from the library so I could see what all the hype was about and to have something to talk about with the book community on Twitter. But the thing is… I hated almost all of the books. They weren’t for me. People were gushing over books that I couldn’t stand.

But that’s okay. If people don’t like me because I don’t like the books that they do or they don’t care about the books I want to post about… then that’s fine.

I’m gonna be me because this is my space to talk about what I like.
Grey and I are discovering that together. 🙂

  1. YES! This is your blog and you get to post whatever you want! Guarantee you there is someone out there with similar tastes that is looking for reviews from books you’re reviewing. I love it when people review something different than the hype, it helps me build that ever-growing to-read list! lol
