Monthly Wrap Up – July 2018

July was a pretty good month.

I finished up my summer semester of school. I’m definitely glad it’s over. I wasn’t expecting summer semester to be that intense. I managed to make all A’s though, so I have maintained my 4.0 GPA for another semester. I’m super happy about that!

I took Chris and Logan to a signing for Robert Beatty. Chris got their copy of the 2nd Serafina book signed. Logan got the new book, Willa of the Wood, signed. They were both so excited to meet him.

At the end of the month, our family had a “staycation”. We couldn’t afford to go on a regular vacation, so we just went on some day trips in our area. It turned out to be a lot of fun. On the first day, we took a boat tour of a major lake in our area. It was so much fun. We’re hoping to do it again soon. We also took a trip to Lazy 5 Ranch. It is this huge area where all kinds of animals are roaming around. You can drive through yourself or ride through on a wagon. You also get buckets of feed so you can feed the animals. We drove through ourselves and that was an interesting experience LOL. We had a lot of fun there as well and would love to go back again sometime. We took a trip to a different lake about an hour away and had a day of swimming and water fun. I ended up getting a pretty bad sunburn, but the trip was totally worth it.

I’m starting Fall semester in about two weeks, so I’m enjoying my break while I still have one. I haven’t been able to read very much lately. I’m struggling pretty bad with my vision right now. I’m going to have to save up so I can get an eye exam and some new glasses.

What have you been up to this summer?

  • I’m hoping to post a couple reviews as long as my vision cooperates and I’m able to read.
  • Maybe a couple discussion posts or tags.

What would you like to see on the blog? I’d love your feedback!

  1. I love doing Staycations! We can’t really afford to go anywhere either, and traveling with a 3yo and 5yo is nightmarish, so we do a lot of staycations. I’m glad you had a good time!
