My Review:
4 out of 5 stars

The Crowns of Croswald is a good start to a new fantasy series.

I was really intrigued by the magic system in this book and enjoyed learning more about it. The Scrivenists were fun to read about. What cool powers to have, right?

Ivy is an enjoyable character and I liked reading about her life at the Halls of Ivy. The setting and world building in this book was great. I liked learning about the Halls of Ivy, the different classes offered, the magical creatures in this world, and Ivy’s friends. The pacing caught me off guard at times, but this was still a great book and I am looking forward to the next one when it comes out.
