Bookish Blog Hop: A Book You’d Like to Find in Your Stocking

Bookish blog hops (3)

I’m back today with another Bookish Blog Hop post. Today, me and some other bloggers will be talking about a book we’d like to find in our stocking this year.

If you want to join in on future blog hops, come and join the Facebook group.

A book I would like to find in my stocking this year is Lethal Licorice by Amanda Flower.

This is the second book in the Amish Candy Shop mystery series. I loved the first book of this series so much. Amanda Flower is a very talented writer. I’m looking forward to jumping back into this series with the second book and catching up with the characters.

Let’s see what books everyone else would like to find in their stocking.

Anyone that knows me knows I got a bit obsessed with Percy Jackson this year. I absolutely loved the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Now I need to read all the other series by Rick Riordan. The Heroes of Olympus Boxed Set,  The Kane Chronicles Boxed Set and the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard Hardcover Boxed Set are all on my wish list.

While I have a number of books on my Christmas list, the one at the top of my list is House at the Bottom of the Lake by Josh Malerman. I read this for the first time in 2017 and absolutely loved it! I was hooked immediately and absolutely could not stop reading. It’s a novella filled with both charm and horror! The storyline was wonderfully written, the characters were relatable, and the suspense was great. Since my first read, I’ve been itching to add it to my shelves so I can reread it!

Iron and Magic (The Iron Covenant Book 1) by Ilona Andrews is high on my wish list.  I’m a true Ilona Andrews fangirl and love everything this duo puts out.  In this book, we’ll follow a familiar character from the Kate Daniels series, Hugh D’Ambray, the Warlord of the Big Bad. I absolutely love the Kate Daniels series and the amazing world these authors have dreamed up, so I’m chomping at the bit to get my hands on this story and see this antihero’s point of view.

My biggest wish would be an audiobook that isn’t out yet, Winter Goddess from the Daughter of Winter series by Skye MacKinnon. It’s the final part in the series and I so badly want to know how it ends! This is an awesome Fantasy Reverse Harem story that plays with old myths which is something that always catches my attention. On top of that it’s also super sexy with a kick-ass heroine and her bunch of very lovable guardians.

So this was on my TBR the last hop. Guess what… still is. I love Nora Roberts’ stand alones. She has a new series, but I have never liked her series. Not sure why, but… Anyway, since this is her last standalone release, I want it. But my husband is threatening to put a book ban on me again 😦
